La Revancha del Tango - live

Apart from getting the Olympics this year, Vancouver was lucky enough to be the starting point for the Gotan project North American tour. Seven charming people presenting themselves as "we are from Argentina and France" took us for quite a passionate journey last night.

In case that you didn’t know, goTan means Tango and their music hints to a blend of Argentinean and down tempo. Imagine dimmed scene, piano, violin, guitar, bandoneon, two DJs and a female vocal. Add to that a seduced multi-generation crowd swaying in the front and a few passionate couples dancing tango in the back, and you might begin to sense it.
